Preschool Dance ages 3-5 (45 min. class once a week) These classes start with the basic dance steps that include
correct terminology along with creative movement. It expands a childs attention span and
teaches them to love to dance. These
classes perform two routines in our recital.
Dance II, III, IV, etc.
ages 4 and up (45 min. 1 hr. class once a week) These
classes take a little more in depth look at ballet, tap, and jazz. We begin to build on their basic terminology
of dance that includes memorization of combinations of steps. Most of these students will have had at least
one year of dance and recital experience.
They are divided according to age level and ability. Advancement to the next level is not
automatic within a years time. These
classes perform two routines in our recital.
Beginner Dance ages 7-10 (45 min. class once a week) This class is for an older child with no previous dance
experience. This class allows for a
little faster development as well as an introduction to terminology and the art
of dance. These classes perform two routines in our
recital. Teenage Dance ages 11 and up (45 min. 1hr. class once a
week) This class is a beginner tap and jazz class for teenagers. This a fun class to learn basic tap and jazz
combinations and perform two routines in our recital. Mini-Company This is a competitive level for younger
children (7 and up) with at least 3 years dance experience. This class takes a separate ballet class in
addition to tap and jazz. This class
performs three routines in our recital. Junior Company This is a competitive level for children
ages (9 and up) with dance experience.
This class takes ballet twice a week, jazz technique, jazz class,
hip-hop class, and tap class. This class
performs five routines in the recital. Senior Company - This is a competitive level for children
ages (12 and up) with dance experience.
This class takes extended ballet classes twice a week, jazz technique,
jazz class, hip-hop class, and tap class.
This class performs five routines in the recital. Ballet ages 6 and up (30-45min. classes once a week) These
classes are required for upper level dance classes and company members. This is an optional class for younger
dancers. Ballet is the basis for all
dance forms. These students study
technique, proper alignment, and correct terminology. These classes perform one routine in the
recital. Acro I ages 5 and up (45 min. class once a week) This
class is an introduction to basic tumbling which includes front rolls, back
rolls, straddle rolls, headstands, cartwheels, and backbends. A student must be able to come up from the
backbend with correct technique before progressing to the next level. This class performs one routine in the
recital. Acro II ages 5 and up (45 min. class once a week) This class is a stepping stone from Acro
I. Children progress at their own
speed. This class includes front
limbers, back walkovers, front walkovers, front handsprings, and balance
tricks. A students must be able to
complete all the skills listed above with correct technique to progress to the
next level. This class performs one
routine in the recital. Acro III ages 7 and up
(1hr. class once a week) This class expands tumbling skills. The main focus of this class is to accomplish
back handspring skills, balance skills, and good form. This class performs one routine in the
recital. Acro IV ages 9 and up (1 hr. class offered twice a week)
This competitive level class is an advanced tumbling class that works on
multiple backhandsprings, front and side aerials, back tucks, etc. This class performs one routine in the
recital. Baton Classes ages 5 and up (45 min. class once a week) These classes are offered for the beginning twirler
through college scholarship level.
Students progress at their own speed.
These classes are divided up according to level. These classes perform one routine in the
recital. Hip-Hop Classes ages 6 and up (45 min. class once a week)
These classes keep the student up to date on the latest styles of dance in
music videos. This class performs one
routine in the recital. Adult Dance Class any age (1hr. class once a week) This
is a fun way to exercise or take those lessons you never could. No experience required. This class performs two routines in the
recital (optional). Private Lessons ages 6 and up (30 min. lesson once a week)
Students must have at least 3 years experience.
You must take class in order to take a private lesson. Private times are limited. Bartlett Dance Factory holds its annual recital in May at |
